ARCA weekend: School bus figure 8's and super modifieds aim at speed records
While the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will take a weekend off, race fans can still find some auto racing to check out over the holiday break:

CBS Radio Minneapolis partners with Elko Speedway for upcoming ARCA event
(TEMPERANCE, Mich. – May 22, 2013) – CBS Radio Minneapolis
has become an official media partner for the Akona 250 presented by Federated
Car Care at Elko Speedway June 1. It will be just the second ARCA Racing Series
presented by Menards race at the track.
It's certainly a sad time for the ARCA and Kentuckiana racing community, as one of our own, Jerry Norris, passed away at approximately 1:30 p.m. today.
Jerry, who raced for over 55 years, finished 19th in the season opening Great American Stock race at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery on April 28th.

Ken Schrader raced his way back into the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards history books Sunday at Toledo Speedway with his 16th career series victory in his 61st series start. By doing so, Schrader, who led a whopping 163 of 200 laps, surpasses Iggy Katona (winner at Daytona in 1974 at 57) as the oldest winner in series history.
