Monroe, MI driver Steve Bunge stands by his Mopar in 1974 at Flat Rock Speedway. Bunge's career began as a weekly racer, owning and driving his own car with the help of his family. With a great deal of experience, Steve moved up to battle for feature wins and eventually became a 3-time champion at the track, capturing the ARCA Late Model championship in 1992, 1993 and again in 1994.
Steve is 3rd on the all-time win list at the 1/4 mile with 30 wins. Bunge also captured a feature at Toledo Speedway in the 1990's. Steve and his wife, Julie, now operate B & H Race Parts, servicing both tracks for the race teams. Their daughter, Lori Hall, and son, Scot, both have raced in the past. Steve also currently serves as a race official for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.
