TOLEDO SPEEDWAY WEEKEND ON-TRACK ACTIVITIES CANCELLED (3-31-16)

Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill 13th Annual Racer Reunion, Other Activities Still On
As weekend forecast temperatures range from lows in the 20s to highs in the 40s with wind and rain/snow mix also expected, track officials have cancelled the on-track open practice scheduled for Sat. April 2 and the alternate day of Sun. April 3.
Another open practice is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, in advance of the first race for the ARCA Late Model Sportsman, ARCA Figure-8 and ARCA Factory Stock/Enduro divisions. The off-track activities for this weekend at the Bar and Grill will go on as planned.
The 13th annual Racer Reunion takes center stage in the Bar & Grill Banquet Room from 12 noon-5pm. Admission to all events at the Bar & Grill is free and open to the public. Thousands of photos will be on display documenting a wide variety of race tracks, divisions and touring series, including MARC/ARCA, Flat Rock Speedway, Toledo Speedway and all the divisions which raced at both tracks over the years. TVs in the Banquet Room will feature video of past races, and there will be displays of uniquely authentic racing memorabilia. The always-popular trivia contests will award prizes to attendees identifying racers from the past as they come up on the big screen.
TVs in the Bar area will be tuned in to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Martinsville at 2:30pm, and vintage cars will be on display weather permitting. Other activities scheduled include the open-to-the-public Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club (MARFC) meeting at 6 and the annual pre-season meeting for Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway ARCA Officials at 7:30pm.
The Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill features a full service kitchen and bar and will feature a steak dinner special this Saturday. It is located at 5639 Benore Road, Toledo (419) 729-9182.
