WHELEN FIRST RESPONDER NIGHT, AUTOGRAPH NIGHT AT FLAT ROCK SATURDAY!

Flat Rock, MI—August 4, 2016: Flat Rock Speedway will pay tribute to the men and women of “First Responder” status this Saturday night, August 6, in conjunction with the Glass Unlimited/UAW Local 3000 Autograph Night! Fans will also get to see an extra pair of features, as the Street Stock B Main and Figure 8 feature that were rained out last Saturday will now be added to the schedule this Saturday evening.
The Whelen Engineering Company First Responder Night will honor the local members of the police, fire and rescue teams. These individuals may show their ID badge or proper credentials at the ticket windows August 6 and receive 2 complimentary tickets to the evening’s race card, courtesy of Whelen.
The Glass Unlimited/UAW Local 3000 Autograph session will follow time trials at approximately 6:15 p.m. Fans can walk onto the track and meet their favorite drivers prior to the race card. In addition to the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks and the ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8’s, the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models will also be in action, while the TKC Go-Karts will stage exhibition races.
There’s a bit of incentive with the Late Model “Mystery Award” bonus, which is up to $400 Saturday night. A random draw after qualifying will be held, with numbers 1-10 in the hat. The number drawn is the starting position for the feature. If the driver who starts in that position wins Saturday night, they will collect the $400 bonus.
Track management will honor all rain checks from the July 30 event at their full face value for any of the remaining events on the 2016 schedule. Rain checks are to be turned in at the ticket windows upon arrival to the track. If there is a difference in ticket pricing on the night selected, the difference is to be paid at the window.
The time schedule has the pit gates opening at 2 p.m., practice begins at 4, time trials are set for 5:15, the on-track autograph session is set for 6:15 and racing begins at 7 p.m.
ALL tickets will go on sale race day at 4 p.m. when the box office opens and the front gates swing open for the fans.
