2nd ANNUAL “MICHIGAN BEER MILE”
Flat Rock, MI—October 5, 2016: Flat Rock Speedway will serve as the host site for the 2ND Annual “Michigan Beer Mile” Saturday, October 22. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Movember Foundation, which targets men’s health.
Boogahonk Events, LLC of Ann Arbor, MI is the promoter of the unique event. There have been only a small number of official beer miles in the United States. The event, which has been unofficially staged across the country on college campuses and various other venues “in the dark”, enters its second running at the ¼ mile paved oval in Flat Rock, MI.
The concept is simple and fun; drink four beers, run/walk 4 laps. Both individual and relay races will be held. Each contestant will consume a 12 ounce beverage (beer), then walk and/or run 1 lap, or a ¼ mile, the size of Flat Rock’s race track.

Registration begins on race day at 11 a.m. and the first race begins at Noon. The concessions and restrooms will be open for the event.
