ARCA LATE MODEL SPORTSMAN ADDED BACK ON FLAT ROCK SCHEDULE FOR JULY 29 DATE
July 21, 2023: The ARCA Salenbien Excavating Late Model Sportsman division has been added to the July 29 race card at Flat Rock Speedway.
The division was scheduled to compete July 8, rained out, and was rescheduled for July 15. That event also fell victim to the elements.
While the original announcement this week was that the race would not be rescheduled, the prospect of favorable weather for this weekend would remove the need for the July 29 rain date for the Stan Yee Memorial 150 for the Moran Chevrolet Outlaw Super Late Models, and opens up the opportunity to reschedule the division for this date
The class will compete in heat races and a 25 lap feature. Lap money has been secured, with both the first and second place cars for each lap receiving a $5 bonus.
The Vore’s Compact Touring Series will make their first-ever appearance at “The Rock” July 29, highlighted by a 50 lap main event. The track’s ARCA R & M Recycling Figure 8 division and the ARCA Safety Kleen Factory Stock division will each compete in full race programs with heats and a feature race.
There is no advance sale for the July 29 event. ALL tickets will go on sale at the track on race day when the gates open at 5 p.m. Practice begins at 5, with race time set for 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults, children 6-12 are $5 and under 6 are free.
