MORAN CHEVROLET-STAN YEE MEMORIAL 150-RESET FOR JULY 28; 6:30 P.M. START
(Flat Rock, MI—July 23, 2018): This Saturday, July 28 is the date for Flat Rock Speedway’s biggest race of the season, the Moran Chevrolet-Stan Yee Memorial 150, which fell victim to the weather on July 21. Race time has been moved up to 6:30 p.m. to accommodate the big night of racing.
The July 28 event, sponsored also by Glass Unlimited, will now include the ARCA Victory Lane Quick Oil Change Figure 8’s and the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks as originally scheduled.
The race is the 4th and final leg of the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Series, as well as a point race for the track’s Moran Chevrolet Late Models. Flat Rock current point leader Jimmy Thiel is the defending race winner.
Fans can save $5 on advance tickets by calling the track at 734-782-2480. The advance sale ends Friday, July 27 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. Children 6-12 are $3 each and under 6 are free.
The 2018 Gold Cup Series sponsors include Moran Chevrolet, Diamond Racing Products, Royal Truck and Trailer Sales, DTS Drive Train Specialists, Dani’s Transport, Francis Engineering and HABCO Tool and Development.
Race day on Saturday will see the pit area opening at 12:30, practice begins at 3 p.m. and the front gates and ticket office will also open at that time. Time trials begin at 5 and racing gets the green flag at 6:30 p.m.
