VanDoorn 200 Part of Triple-header Weekend of ARCA-sanctioned Races Across the Midwest

It is a busy weekend for ARCA-sanctioned tours and tracks throughout the Midwest.

The ARCA Menards Series hits its stride for the summer short track swing with the Zinsser SmartCoat 200 at Berlin Raceway, just outside Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan. It marks the second consecutive short track race for the series, coming off the series’ most recent stop at Iowa Speedway last Saturday night won by NASCAR Xfinity Series regular Brandon Jones.

The race will also be a part of the Sioux Chief Showdown, a series within the overall ARCA Menards Series that allows drivers as young as 15 years of age to compete for a championship on paved short tracks a mile in length and under, dirt tracks, and road courses.

The ARCA/CRA Super Series is in action on Saturday night as well on the other side of Michigan at Flat Rock Speedway. The Level Pebble 200 features a 125-lap feature for the template body super late models and then a 75-lap main event for the track’s weekly ARCA-sanctioned outlaw super late model division. Twenty-two ARCA/CRA Super Series teams have pre-entered the race, which has grown into one of the cornerstone events on the track’s annual schedule.

On Sunday, the ARCA Midwest Tour will take to the legendary Milwaukee Mile for the annual Father’s Day 100 presented by Hunt Brothers Pizza. Thirty teams are expected to compete in the first of two ARCA-sanctioned weekends at the country’s oldest continuously operating racetrack, headlined by NASCAR Cup Series star Erik Jones, former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Johnny Sauter, and former series champion Casey Johnson. The Midwest Trucks, Mid-Am Stock Cars, and Upper Midwest Vintage Series also join the card with 20-lap features for each.
