A special opportunity is up ahead for Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway race fans, with the introduction of the Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways “Late Model Double-Header Weekend” July 26th-27th.
Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway Late Model fans are gearing up for a weekend of racing action on the banks of Lake Erie with a special double header weekend, with the Friday Night CRA/JEGS HB Concerts Promenade Pavilion 100 as well as the Saturday Night Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee 150 Presented by DTS Drive Train Specialists and Fraza!
Fans at Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways will be delighted to see action at both tracks over the course of two nights, featuring some of the biggest names in short track racing across the Midwest descending upon Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan.
To celebrate the occasion, race fans who bring a ticket stub/receipt from Friday night’s action CRA/JEGS HB Concerts Promenade Pavilion 100 at Toledo will get $10 off their ticket at Flat Rock’s Saturday night Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee 150 Presented by DTS Drive Train Specialists and Fraza.
The action starts on a special Friday Night on the high banks in Toledo with the return of the CRA/JEGS Late Model Tour, alongside the Vores Compact Touring Series and ARCA Factory Stocks.
The CRA/JEGS tour will race in an event at Toledo with some of the biggest late model drivers in the country on the high banks of Toledo. The series came to Flat Rock Speedway on June 22nd, a race won by Lapeer’s Chase Burda in a field including drivers like Jeff Vrsek, Chase Pinssenault, and David Liaeff.
The last time the ASA/CRA cars came to Toledo, William Sawalich took a historic Glass City 200 feature win. This win would be the first of two en route to becoming the second driver in speedway history to win at Toledo in both the Glass City 200 and the ARCA Menards Series (following Joy Fair).
CRA/JEGS All-Star Series racing is a very exciting form of late model racing, with high-powered race cars and tight quarters. The 100-lap HB Concerts Promenade Pavilion 100 will be something novel, and something huge, on a Toledo Speedway Friday Night!
The next night is the biggest late model race of the year at Flat Rock Speedway. The Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee 150 Presented by DTS Drive Train Specialists and Fraza is one of the largest racing events of the year in Michigan.
The 29th running of the Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee 150 Outlaw Super Late Model Race will take place in its traditional late July date to complete the weekend.
Last year, Indiana’s Craig Everage climbed from sixth to win in a drama-filled feature, with multiple leaders, comers-and-goers, and variable strategy in an action-packed night with a large crowd!
The DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks and R&M Recycling Figure 8s will also take part in the action on this historic Saturday night in Flat Rock.
The “Late Model Double-Header Weekend” at Flat Rock and Toledo will be your only chance in 2024 to see 250 laps of late model action, over the course of just over 24 hours, in-between the short drive of Carleton and Toledo.
